Hat for Todd

Here's a hat that I made for Todd before he went on a guy ski weekend this month. I did reduce the tassel size a bit after I took this picture...

Fun, easy baby hats!

I had 3 friends give birth recently and I made these cute little hats for them! They knit up super fast and are the perfect size for a newborn.

Fun!

Finished Teddy

So I felted Teddy a bit more and he's now done! He's a little crooked, but it's because of his scoliosis. He had to have a spinal fusion to help correct his curvature, and while it's not perfect, it's a big improvement for his quality of life!

Concerned Teddy.

Felted Teddy Bear

My teddy bear is finally getting close to being finished! I got this pattern from my local yarn store, Fiber Gallery and it's made using <1 skein of Ecological Wool. I'm still working on stuffing it and then need to do some embroidering on his face. My 2 1/2 year old neighbor came over and saw it yesterday. His eyes lit up, "Teddy!" and gave it a huge hug. :) Someday my kids will love this guy!

My new niece!

Here are some pictures of a hat and baby kimono I made for my new niece, Margreta Jane. It's made from some wonderfully soft organic cotton. The kimono is from a pattern in Mason Dixon Knitting, and the hat is a variation from Itty, Bitty Hats. The hat's a bit too big still, but she's got plenty of time to grow into it before this fall & winter! I'll try to get some pictures of her in it soon!

Getting Started

Hello Friends!

I'm currently working on a darling baby sweater for my neighbor down the street. The pattern is out of Knit 2 Together, but I tried to make it 10% larger--hopefully to fit a 3-6 month old. It seems like it's bigger than that...good thing babies grow quickly! I'm finishing the last sleeve and when it's done, I'll post the final look.

The couple rows of brown that you see are a lining for a pocket. It's hard to see in this picture, but it's very cute!

Previous Projects

These are 2 previous projects that I've done. The orange hat was for a sweet little babe I took care of at Children's. (My DH is such a good sport). And the pink handwarmers...well I just love that picture! :) I know I've done more knitting than what I have photos of, so hopefully this site will encourage me to document my handiwork!
